Spiritual Benefits of Daily Dhikr
The spiritual benefits of Daily Dhikr (Remembrance of God) are numerous. Islamic mindfulness through short daily phrases helps nurture faith, calm the heart, and also deepen the spiritual connection with Allah in everyday moments.
Daily dhikr (remembrance of Allah) holds huge spiritual power in Islam. In addition, it comforts the soul but also brings tranquillity to the heart.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
(Surah Ar-Ra’d, 13:28)
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
The Prophet PBUH said:
“The best of people is the one who remembers Allah most.”
There are many types of dhikr, such as reciting words La ilaha illallah, SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, and seeking forgiveness with Astaghfirullah. Moreover, each phrase holds deep spiritual meanings and rewards.
For example, the Prophet PBUH said:
“Two words are light on the tongue, heavy on the scales, and beloved to the Most Merciful: SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllah al-Azim.”

There is also one powerful narration from Sahih Muslim states that Prophet Mohammad said:
“The similitude of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not is like the living and the dead.”
This shows that remembrance of Allah revives and also nourishes the heart spiritually.
There are many words of Dhikr, but among the most powerful dhikr in Islam is La ilaha illallah. In addition that, the Prophet PBUH said it is the best remembrance:
“The best remembrance is La ilaha illallah.”

This statement affirms Tawheed (Oneness of Allah) and also shows that it cleanses the soul.

Bismillahi walajna wa Bismillahi kharajna wa ‘ala Rabbina tawakkalna
