1- Fajr (dawn), consists of two Rak’ahs.

2- Dhuhr (midday) consists of four Rak’ahs.

3- Asr (afternoon) consists of four Rak’ahs.

4- Maghrib (sunset) consists of three Rak’ahs.

5- Isha (night) consists of four Rak’ahs.

If you are wondering what to say while praying in Islam Salah (Prayer Words) we will tell you in detail. During Salah, Muslims recite verses from the Quran and alsospecific phrases. The prayer begins with the Takbir, where one says, “Allahu Akbar” (God is the greatest) while raising the hands. In the standing position, Muslims recite Surah Al-Fatiha followed by another passage from the Quran.

Fourth: How to pray Islam step by step?

  • Perform Wudu (Ablution meaning): Wash your hands, mouth, nose, face, arms, head and feet three times.
  • Face the Qibla: Stand facing the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca.
  • Make the Intention (Niyyah): Quietly make the intention in your heart for the prayer you are about to perform.
  • Start the Prayer with Takbir: raise both hands to your ears and say “Allahu Akbar” (God is the Greatest).
  • Recite Surah Al-Fatiha then a short surah
  • Perform Ruku’: Bowing with your hands on your knees and saying, “Subhana Rabbiyal Adheem” (Glory to my Lord, the Most Great), three times.
  • Stand Back Up (I’tidal): return to a standing position and say, “Sami’Allahu liman hamidah” (Allah hears the one who praises Him), then say “Rabbana wa lakal hamd” (Our Lord, to You is all praise).
  • Perform Sujud (Prostration): move to the ground and prostrate with your forehead, nose, palms, knees, and toes touching the ground. Then, Say “Subhana Rabbiyal A’la” (Glory to my Lord, the Most High), three times.
  • Sit and Repeat Sujud
  • Repeat this Rak’a according to the prayer you are praying and its number of bows.
  • Tashahud Al Awl: after two Rak’a you have to say Tashahhud.
  • Final sitting: recite Tashahhud Al Awl and also Tashahud Akher in the Final Sitting.
  • At the end Salam: turn to the right with your head only and say “Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah” (Peace and mercy of Allah be upon you), then turn to the left and repeat the same.
