There are some key beliefs in Islam about life after death in Islam as mentioned in the Quran and Hadith “And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer – those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, [even as much as] the speck on a date seed.” (Quran, 4:124). The stages Of Life After Death in Islam are as follows:
Between death and the Day of Judgment, Muslims believe in a temporary state called “Barzakh.” In this state, individuals await the resurrection.
Muslims will be Questioned by the two angels, Munkar and Nakir. These angels question the deceased about their faith, as a result, good souls experience blessings, while others experience discomfort in the grave.
Despite the body’s decomposition after death, god will bring the soul back to life for judgment.
After people resurrection from their graves and before judgment, they will need to cross the Sirat. This bridge is finer than a hair and sharper than a sword. However, those who maintained a strong faith in Allah will cross like a lightning bolt.
Prophets and righteous believers may be granted the ability to intercede on behalf of others on the Day of Judgment.
On this Day of Judgment or “Yawm al-Qiyamah” (the Day of Resurrection), everyone will be granted according of his faith and actions in life. In addition, It includes the scale of deeds as in the Quran “So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.” Surat Zalzalah
Jannah is a place of eternal bliss, happiness, and enjoyment, where believers will be in the presence of Allah and surrounded by blessings.
Hell is a place of intense suffering, torment, and also separation from Allah.
Those who enter paradise will remain in bliss forever, and also those in hell will experience punishment for eternity.
In conclusion, these beliefs about the afterlife are central to the Islamic faith and shape Muslims’ perspective on the purpose of life, moral conduct, and their relationship with Allah.
