Me: Let’s start with the simplest question… Who created the universe?
Him: Maybe nature, or the Big Bang, or some physical law.
Me: Nature is a set of laws, and laws do not create themselves. The Big Bang only happens if something causes it. As for physical laws, they describe what happens, but they do not bring things into existence from nothing. Therefore, there must be a first cause — intelligent, capable, and existing before everything else.
Him: But who created this God then?
Me: If He were created, He would need another creator, and then we would ask: who created that creator? This would go on infinitely. Reason dictates that there must be an eternal Creator who does not need to be created and is the cause of every cause.
Him: Why must He be one? Couldn’t there be several gods?
Me: If there were many, they would disagree and conflict, and the cosmic order would collapse. Isn’t it obvious that multiple rulers in one country cause disorder? How then could the universe remain so precise? The unity of the Creator is the only logical explanation for this harmony.
Him: But I can’t see this God, so how can I believe in Him?
Me: Have you seen your mind? Gravity? Electrons? You believe in them because their effects are evident. Likewise, God’s signs are everywhere — in every heartbeat and in every galaxy.
Him: Why should I worship Him at all?
Me: Because He created you, owns you, and one day you will return to Him for judgment. Perfect justice cannot happen in this life — how many oppressors died without being punished? True justice is only possible with the All-Knowing Creator who is free of bias or ignorance. Worshiping Him frees you from slavery to people and desires.
Him: And how do I know this is the truth?
Me: Ask yourself honestly: Who gave you life? Who gave you a mind and a soul? Who surrounded you with the sky, the earth, and all within them? A sincere answer will lead you to Him. If you ignore it, you are merely denying what you already know deep inside.
